MATTAWAN, MI March 05, 2009: Medicilon/MPI Preclinical Research-Shanghai is pleased to announce that on March 2, 2009, Dean E. Rodwell, MS., joined the joint venture between MPI Research in Mattawan, Michigan, USA and Shanghai Medicilon in Shanghai, China, as President and Chief Operating Officer. Reporting to the Board of Directors, Rodwell will oversee all of the day to day operations at the company.

Mr. Rodwell brings his scientific and regulatory expertise to Medicilon/MPI Preclinical Research-Shanghai, and will facilitate the company's achievement of its goal for GLP compliance and AAALAC accreditation in 2009.

Most recently the former Vice President of Toxicology at BioDuro in Beijing, China, Rodwell has over 35 years of experience in the preclinical research industry, and is recognized worldwide for his extensive knowledge in reproduction and teratology. Mr. Rodwell has held numerous high level positions including President and Founder of Rodwell & Associates, Senior Vice President of Huntingdon Life Sciences, President of Springborn Laboratories, and Vice President and Director of Research, at WIL Laboratories. Mr. Rodwell received his MS in Reproduction Physiology and a BS in Animal Husbandry at Kansas State University. He is widely published and is a member of many professional affiliations including the Society of Toxicology and the Teratology Society.
